West Ham vs Fulham Highlights and Goals

West Ham vs Fulham Highlights and Goals | The Hammers defeated Claudio Ranieri’s men by a 3-1 score

When everyone is expecting that Ranieri will again show his magic that he displayed for Leicester City a few years ago, his team faced a tragic defeat in the West Ham vs Fulham Premier League match last night. However, the coach seems quite unhappy with the result as he also called on the Premier League to start using VAR.

Ryan Babel put Fulham on early lead with his goal just three minutes after the starting whistle. Javier Hernandez then scored the equalizer for West Ham in the 29th minute. Shortly after, Issa Diop put the hammers on a leading position with his 40th-minute goal. Michail Antonio then sealed the 3-1 victory for West Ham with his added-time goal in the second half.

While talking about their match against West Ham, Fulham coach Claudio Ranieri said, “For the referee, it’s very difficult to see everything. VAR could make it better.” The cottagers’ coach then further added, “It exists in Italy, in the Champions League and VAR will be important in England to help the referee.”

He said, “After the [equalizer] West Ham increased in confidence and we were scared. I know it’s tough, but we must believe. We must continue to fight because I don’t like players who give up.” The manager then also added, “You see the goal come from handball and it creates tension, but I don’t want this, we have to always fight.”

Ranieri said, “I believe in every one of my players. They have very big hearts. They have to believe, and something will change.” He then further added, “The level of confidence increases when you win and now that’s a long time ago. For me it’s important. They train well and this means they believe.”

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini also expressed his views and said, “From my position on the bench I couldn’t see [how the goal was scored],” and added, “I’ve seen it since and it was handball, but it was one that nobody saw very clearly at the time. I don’t think it decided the game.” He said, “We scored two more and created three or four other chances which the goalkeeper saved well.”
