Head coach of the Italian Serie A side Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, recently described Cristiano Ronaldo as a ‘great professional’ after he scored the winning goal against Torino last night. The bianconeri manager also told that he is ready to give some break to the Portuguese international.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored Juve’s 5000th Serie A goal last night in the Derby della Mole against Torino. It is also the 11th goal for the 33-year-old legend in the White and Black jersey this season. His goal came from a brilliant penalty in the 70th minute of last night’s match. Juventus, on the other hand, has achieved an 11-point lead in Serie A with the derby win.
While talking about Cristiano Ronaldo and his performance, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri said “Ronaldo is a great professional,” and then added “He truly cares about details. That’s why he is always fit.” Allegri then also said, “But I already told him that he will miss one of the next games against Roma, Atalanta or Sampdoria.”
The Juventus manager also told, “This is the start of the final rush before the mid-season break, so we need the right energies.” The Italian champion will face AS Roma next Saturday followed by their clashes with Atalanta and Sampdoria. After that, they will go on a two-week break for the players.
Cristiano Ronaldo has less chance to appear in those matches as Massimiliano Allegri previously said: “Cristiano will miss one of the three games against Roma, Atalanta, and Sampdoria.” Cristiano Ronaldo is now holding the top place of this season’s scoring table along with Genoa star Krzysztof Piatek.
The Portuguese legend played a total of 1430 minutes in Serie A as of now and he took 130 minutes per goal. He made a total of 77 shots, out of which 43 shots were on target. Besides scoring 11 goals, Cristiano Ronaldo also provided 5 assists as of now. Besides being a sensation in the Serie A, Cristiano Ronaldo also made a buzz in the Spanish media after his former Real Madrid teammate Rafael van der Vaart told that they miss him.
