The Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo took his transfer to Italian Serie A side Juventus from Real Madrid in July this year, although he wanted to make they move way before according to his agent Jorge Mendes. Juventus agreed to pay $128 million to La Liga side to get Ronaldo on their side in July this year.
Right after Cristiano Ronaldo helped Real Madrid to secure their third consecutive UEFA Champions League triumph, media started talking about his possible exit. And then in July this year, Juventus officially announced to have him on their side while offering the costliest Italian contract to the Portuguese star.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner already started to display his amazing speed and talent for Juventus as he scored 11 goals in Serie A as of now. He is also now leading his side to hold the top place of the Italian league table. Besides winning the Ballon d’Or last year, the Juventus star also achieved the second place this year.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri recently named him a great professional. Besides, his agent Jorge Mendes also now confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to make the move since January. While talking about the transfer, Mendes told Tuttosport “He is the best player in the history of the game, so a lot of teams wanted him.”
The Portuguese legend’s agent then said “Even so, Juve deserve a lot of credit for making this deal happen,” and then further added “Cristiano told me back in January that he wanted to join the Bianconeri. At that moment in time, I did not think that a deal would be possible, but I guess that I was wrong.”
Jorge Mendes then gave the detailed update about the famous move and said “I met up with Paratici and [vice-chairman Pavel] Nedved before the Juve-Real game in Turin [in April] and I then met up with Agnelli, too. That’s when I started to believe that a deal was possible.”
