Juventus faced a shocking defeat against Young Boys last night, although they have already secured their place in the ‘Round of 16’ as the group topper. And, Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo now thinks that his team is absolutely confident and is ready for the “beautiful part” of the UEFA Champions League.
Even after their shocking defeat against the Swiss champions, the Italian side secured the top place of the ‘Group H’ ahead of Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League this season. Guillaume Hoarau scored a brilliant brace last night where Paulo Dybala is the only one to score for Juventus.
The three-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, hit the crossbar last night against Young Boys. While talking about the last night’s game and about the future plan of Juventus, Ronaldo said: “Now the beautiful part of the Champions League starts and I’m confident we will be fully ready for it.”
He also said that Juventus will perform like never before in the upcoming ‘Round of 16’. Cristiano Ronaldo said “I’m calm because I know the potential of this team and my potential,” and further added, “I could have scored a couple of goals easily but this is football, we just have to start to focus on the next game.”
Besides the Portuguese international, Juventus midfielder Emre Can also gave his views on last night’s defeat and said: “We knew that it was going to be a tough game here.” He then added “We had chances in the first half and didn’t score. I think that’s the biggest lesson for us.”
He also expressed his happiness for being the group topper of the Champions League and said “After they scored, we knew it was going to be difficult. But we’re happy to have gone through as group winners, that’s what we wanted to achieve, and let’s see who comes next.”
